15. December 2021 from David Schmidt
SPIR STAR® AG Acquires Skarke Ventilsysteme

Seller: Skarke Ventilsysteme
Buyer: BUYER SPIR STAR® AG
Branch: Manufacturing industry
Transaction volume: not published
Closing: 31.12.2021

WALTER FRIES Corporate Finance GmbH exclusively advised Mrs. Ellen Skarke, owner of Skarke Ventilsysteme, on the sale of the company to the family-owned and internationally operating SPIR STAR® AG.

In order to secure the continuity of the company and its further growth, the owner had decided to sell the company for reasons of age.

"To build up a company with my husband, to manage it together for 26 years and after his death, to continue even by myself for 7 years was a challenge. To sell the company is another very difficult step, which I would not have been able to take without the very personal, patient, competent and intensive support of WALTER FRIES Corporate Finance with Holger Fries and especially David Schmidt. My sincere thanks for everything."
Ellen Skarke Managing Director

With this strategic acquisition, SPIR STAR® AG is expanding its product portfolio and opening up new markets. As one of the leading suppliers of oil & fluid valve systems, Skarke Ventilsysteme has more than 30 years of experience as well as an excellent market position in the European construction, agricultural and commercial vehicle industries. Together with SPIR STAR® AG the strategy is focused on further growth in sales and the leverage of synergies. By taking over the company’s real estate, the buyer is also strengthening the operational resources at the joint production site at Rimbach.

As a new subsidiary of SPIR STAR® AG, Skarke GmbH will take over the sole proprietorship Skarke Ventilsysteme on December 31, 2021 as part of an asset deal. In the future, Mrs. Ellen Skarke and Mr. Ralf Schmitt will act jointly as managing directors.

"We very much appreciated the expert advice and the professional handling of the sales process by Walter Fries Corporate Finance with Holger Fries and David Schmidt! We are sure that the company acquisition of Skarke Ventiltechnik is the right step."
Rainer Schmitt Managing Director

Legal advice was provided by the law firm Kanzlei Dr. Steffen Dietz, Aschaffenburg (Sell-Side).
