Buyer: Main Capital Partners
Branch: Software
Transaction volume: not published
Closing: End of 2025

WALTER FRIES Corporate Finance GmbH exclusively advised Manuel Drescher, founder of EIKONA AG, and Schäflein AG, the previous co-shareholder, on the sale of shares in EIKONA AG, including selected subsidiaries, to Main Capital Partners.

Through this transaction, Main Capital Partners acquires a majority stake in the German logistics software provider as part of EIKONA AG’s strategic realignment. Founded in Volkach in 2001, EIKONA AG employs around 100 people and serves over 350 renowned customers in the European logistics industry. More than 50 million shipments are processed annually via the company’s proprietary platform, highlighting EIKONA AG’s central role in numerous supply chains.

Founder Manuel Drescher and the management team will remain actively involved in the company to ensure continuity and provide customers and partners with long-term stability.

Main Capital Partners is a leading software investor with a proven track record in building, scaling, and expanding software companies internationally. Together with EIKONA AG’s management, the group aims to further strengthen the company’s position as a leading provider of interoperable logistics solutions and to develop additional growth opportunities across Europe.

"The transaction is a significant step forward for EIKONA in the further development of the company. The demands on logistics networks are constantly increasing, and interoperable systems are becoming increasingly important. With Main, we have a partner who supports the strategic expansion of our platform and our European expansion. The fact that the founders and management will remain involved on a permanent basis is a clear signal of continuity to our customers and partners."
Manuel Drescher | Bastian Spätch Founder of EIKONA | CEO of EIKONA
"EIKONA occupies a key position in a market that is poised for further professionalization and integration. The Enterprise Platform offers a structural approach to better data and process networking in logistics networks. We see considerable potential to work with management to develop the company into a pan-European provider of networked logistics software."
Sven van Berge Henegouwen Managing Partner and Head of DACH at Main
"EIKONA has successfully supported our group of companies for many years and provided important impulses. With Main Capital Partners, an experienced and strong partner is now taking over, ensuring EIKONA’s continued strategic development and growth trajectory. For Schäflein, this step is a deliberate and consistent decision to further strengthen our core business. At the same time, we look forward to continuing our partnership with EIKONA as a reliable technology provider and to successfully collaborating in our day-to-day operations."
Achim Schäflein Chairman of the Board of Schäflein AG

The sellers received legal support from the Würzburg-based law firm Cornea Franz, while tax advisory services were provided by Welzenbach, a tax consultancy from Lohr am Main.
